Oribi Gorge, down the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast, is a stunning geographical feature with breathtakingly beautiful views. Breakfast is included as part of the run, but there’s more than just a hearty breakfast on offer at Oribi. If you’re an adrenalin junkie, the Wild Gorge Swing is the highest swing in the world. The participant steps or jumps off the top of Lehrs waterfall to swing into the depths of the gorge in a 100 metre (33 storey) arc.
For the less brave, the Wild Slide is ideal. It involves sliding along a steel cable 160 metres above the ground, giving the participant a unique view of the gorge and Lehrs Falls.
Cost to visitors: US$40
Please note that the cost of the run includes protective gear and breakfast, but if you wish to partake in the Wild Slide or Swing, these costs will be for your own account. The cost of the Wild Swing is currently US$20 and the Wild Swing US$35. (Prices subject to fluctuation in exchange rate and inflationary increases)
