The North Coast of KwaZulu-Natal is a treasure-house of sights and sites, and is split into two tourism nodes. The first stretches from Zimbali to the mighty Thukela River , and is known as the Dolphin Coast . The second stretches from Jozini through to the Mozambique border and is known as the Elephant Coast . Both these tourism nodes incorporate everything in the way of accommodation, from traditional Zulu huts to ultra-luxury beach villas and apartments. They feature unspoilt coastline with rocky beaches to rolling hills inland. The warm waters of the Indian Ocean play host to countless species of dolphin and gamefish, as well as Humpbacked whales, and is the breeding-ground of the loggerhead and leatherback turtles. Also famous for its Game Parks and Reserves, the North Coast is where the Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo) are concentrated, along with the largest concentration of Black and White rhino in the world.

The North Coast plays host to unique eco-systems as well as being the cultural homeland of the mighty and proud Zulu nation. Spend a day, spend a week, however long you like, but make sure that you explore this unique area. Zulu hospitality is warm and the people are friendly, proud to show you their heritage.
